I constructed my fabric roll on Japanese Sarashi fabric which is 13" wide, 

100% cotton and an open weave which is easy to stitch through.

$7.50 per metre.

Modern Boro Drawstring Bag

 This Drawstring Bag is construction using the Modern Japanese Boro technique. 

It measures 8.5” high and the oval base is 8½” by 6¾”.

  

The contains everything you need to make the bag - a collection of indigo fabric pieces, 

the lining and base fabrics, stabilizer, cord, covering discs for the end of the bag ties, 

Sashiko threads and a needle, pattern.

You will only need to add: Fabric Glue Pen eg: Sewline, Removable Fabric 

Marking Pen eg: Sewline Fabric Pencil, sharp fabric scissors.

Autumnal Sashiko Throw

 This throw size quilt measures 49" by 50" and is made up of a huge variety of 

traditional Japanese Sashiko designs.

The pattern includes all the designs which you transfer to the fabric 

using Carbon Paper. Full instructions are given for this.

The kit includes all the fabrics for the quilt top including the binding, 

the sashiko thread and needle and full pattern.

The pattern on its own is a great resource for traditional designs.

Modern Boro Runner Pattern

 Modern Boro is an interpretation of the Traditional Japanese Boro.

It is patched and stitched to completely cover a base fabric (Sarashi) whereas

Traditional Japanese Boro was fabric that was patched and stitched only 

where it had become worn. Modern Boro is more of an art form than a necessity.

This runner is 1.30 metres long and 35cm wide.
