PICE threads

These wonderful Japanese threads are a fine Polyester.

They come on the cutest wooden spools in traditional Japanese murky colours.

I use them for English Paper Piecing as they are strong and fine and won't
get worn down by your card edges.

I also use them for hand applique - once again because they are fine.

There is 200 metres on each reel.

$8.00 per reel.

Hitomezashi Tote Bag

This is such an easy but effective bag to make.
The Hitomezashi stitching is one of the easiest designs but is also one of the
most effective as it creates a beautiful Honeycomb design.

The panel for the stitching comes pre-printed with dots which is what makes
it so easy to stitch.

Then of course the Tote Bag construction is simple too.

The kit comes with full instructions, the pre-printed panel, the blue for the
bag outside, the lining fabric, stabiliser and the sashiko threads and needles.

Kitset: $88.00

Stitching Panel only: $13.00 with either indigo or white background.

Kogin Pin Cushion

This cute little pin cushion measures 3 1/2" square and is 1 1/2" high.

Kogin is Japanese counted stitching so is quite easy to do.

The instructions are in Japanese but the diagrams are good and I have written
some extra instructions in English to help.

$19.50 for a kitset which contains everything you need to make it
including the stuffing.

Shikaku Quilt

My Shikaku Quilt was a new release from Festival of Quilts last year.
I completely sold out of the kitsets then but have now cut more.
This quilt uses a collection from my indigo range plus a few extras.

It is machine pieced and I machine in the ditch of the blocks and then
added some hand sashiko stitching in the block centres.

The kit contains the pattern and the fabric for the quilt top only for $145.00.

You can order 40cm of indigo binding fabric ($12.00)
and 2 hanks sashiko thread ($11.20) separately if you wish.

It is quick and easy to make and the finished size is 58½” (149cm) square,
but can easily be enlarged by adding more blocks.

If you would like to make it bigger order two kits - one with out the pattern
at a reduced price.

You can also order the pattern $15.00
